Non-Divine
These guys from Arnhem-The Netherlands founded their band in the beginning of `99 and released a 5 track demo CD called "My Obsession" last year. The past few months they`ve toured the Benelux joining Wicked Mystic, MAC-11 and After All on the Metal Grand Slam Tour 2001. It`s obvious that this tour has had a positive influence on their overall performance. Songs like "Scar-Faced Man", "Return To Zero", "Visions" or "Red Alert" all sound tight. Non-Divine plays `groovy` metal (a bit Megadeth-like) and it seems like the sold out Podium appreciates this show pretty much. Contact: www.non-divine.com

Dio
Ronnie James Dio: the man, the myth. What`s left to be said? One of the best voices in rock ever is here tonight to show us one more time what he`s still capable of. Together with drummer Simon Wright, guitarist Craig Goldy, bassplayer Jimmy Bain (that`s correct, he`s back) and an unknown guy at the keyboards (sorry, JG), DIO starts his performance with "Sunset Superman".

Seeing this man on stage always is a true joy. He has this everlasting symphatic smile and within the first few lines, he convinces everyone present at the Podium. Yes, he`s still the little man with the big voice! After more than 30 years, his vocals might as well be better than ever before. Just like the audience expects, DIO performs a lot of stuff from the classic "Holy Diver" album like "Stand Up And Shout", "Invisible", the titletrack and "Don`t Talk To Strangers".

But, the band also plays some new songs from the "Magica" album like "Magica Theme", "Fever Dreams" or "Challis". It`s nice to see that the bandmembers are truly enjoying themselves on stage. The guys are laughing a lot and also DIO himself is in for quite a few jokes. With Goldy and Bain together on one stage, a solid musical performance is guaranteed. With "All The Fools Sail Away", also a great ballad comes by but of course, DIO can`t leave without doing some old Sabbath and Rainbow songs. So there they are: "Heaven And Hell", "Long Live Rock`n`Roll" and "Neon Knights". If the band keeps on doing shows like this one from tonight, DIO can go on and on, on and on...
