Blue Bloods
We didn’t know what to aspect from Blue Bloods. Downloaded (ooh!!) a few songs, but still hadn’t a valid opinion about this music. As they walked on stage, they immediately began to play with a shit-load of energy. ‘Wasting time is wasting schrime’ their thoughts must have been. They played an about 10 songs from their debut cd ‘Blue Bloods’. A mixture of punk rock, hardcore and streetcore. Pretty cool, especially because of the energy they wanted to let out.

Blood For Blood
Then Blood for Blood. I expected a lot of this show. Not some shitty festival show, but a good one, in a pretty cool joint (Melkweg). As they came on the stage, the crowd was screaming ‘Blood for Blood’, and you could feel the energy growing.

They started off with ‘Mother Dear’ and up-front, it went all nuts. A cool pit of windmills, beatdowns etcetera. Dangerous ground. With a combination of songs of ‘Living in Exile’ , `Revenge on Society’ and ‘Outlaw Anthems’ they made this show one of the best hardcore concerts this year. Furthermore they played ‘Cheap Wine’, ‘Livin in Exile’ , ‘ Still Fucked up’, ‘Some Kind of hate’ and of course ‘Wasted Youth Crew’, every song was superb.

Slapshot
Time for beer. Time for more beer. Time for tons of beer. And then... Slapshot. Choke may be 40 years old, but he has the energy of a kid who just won a cricket tournament. With a new CD out, called ‘Digital Warfare’ Slapshot is back. They are quite legendary, and it shows. They got a lot of respect from the grateful audience, just for playing here. The crowd went just as nuts as with Blood For Blood and it did Slapshot only good. They played songs from the albums ‘Old Time Hardcore’ , ’16 Valve Hate’ and the new ‘Digital Warfare’ as well. It was a lesson in hardcore. We need more nights like this!
