Wicked Mystic This melodic power metal band from The Netherlands hasn`t been all too lucky the past few months. First, their gig at the famous DOA festival was cancelled and after this enormous deception, their upcoming tour with Flotsam & Jotsam got cancelled as well. But, being the support-act from Priest is pretty cool of course. Too bad for them, but around 20.00 hours the 013 is filled with only some 1.000 people (capacity 2.200). Wicked Mystic doesn`t seem to care about this at all and with a very good sound these guys give us all they`ve got. And, that`s obviously a lot. Their songs (one new song and the rest is from their latest album "The Paramount Question") are very well composed and powerfully performed. The response from the audience is enthusiastic and the people in front of the stage sing along with the last song, a (surf) cover version from "Iron Maiden". Great show and keep them in mind: www.wickedmystic.nl Judas Priest What can I say? Indeed, if you`re here for a greatest hits evening, then this is the perfect gig. But, I do think that Priest doesn`t perform too inspired. The music is good, the vocals from Tim Owens are great, but I do miss `the fire`. The sound is great, the lights as well and it`s clear that we`re in for a greatest hits show tonight. Only a few new songs are performed ("One On One", "Machine Man", "Devil Digger") and the bigger part of their set is filled with the songs we all know like "Painkiller", "The Green Manalishi", "Diamonds And Rust", "The Ripper", "Victims Of Changes" et cetera. And, the `mighty` Priest with only 1.200 fans at the huge 013 is a pretty sad sight. Only because of the fact that their latest album isn`t that good or…?
