And that’s exactly the way I look back at this concert; as a pleasant surprise. If I was a true fan of this band I would set the standards and expectations very high and would not be disappointed afterwards.

But considering I was not familiar with this group, please forgive me for thinking this was going to be the same old stuff I heard so many times before. I surely was surprised to hear a dynamic, tight, powerful set of songs with great composition and diversity.

Delain surely delivers. And has great potential but maybe with another vocalist the band could be more levelled out in their performance.

Don’t get me wrong, the vocals are great but in my humble opinion the (gorgeous looking) vocalist is holding back in presence when compared with the rest of the band.
