| Can you tell us more about the history of NEUROTICFISH?
I can`t tell you more about my history. I am neurotic about things I’ve said and done, so I better look forward in time, then back. Like you said... It’s just history... | |||
| Why did you decide to call your band NEUROTICFISH? Can’t imagine that you’ve met a lot of those… I meet one of them every morning in the mirror. I brush my teeth and he does the same... every time... Isn`t that neurotic??? Maybe it`s because I can`t swim??? | |||
| Can you tell us more about the lyrics from the songs on “Les Chansons Neurotiques”?
Think of my songs as cargo ships for my inner dialogs. My dialogs with "Need". In these dialogs I create scenes, which cause emotional states. Emotional states that I had, when I created these songs. The audience should feel the same way I did when I wrote the music. | |||

| What is the future plan of NEUROTICFISH? Like tour, new CD, etc. Inventing a little hi-tech device called "Neuro-Transmitter", that can be connected to your CD-player and implants my neurotic fears and visions into the brain of every listener. Or maybe programming a computer virus, that makes every PC neurotic about calculation... Or simplified... Taking over the world ;-))) | |||
| How are the reactions to “Les Chansons Neurotiques”? It always has been a game of cause and effect. Neuroticfish has effects on its environment and the environment effects back on Neuroticfish. Or - Neuroticfish is a product of his environment, which has been influenced by Neuroticfish. So it`s more an interaction than a reaction. | |||
| We had an interview with Volker Zacharias from Girls Under Glass and he stated that the current scene is more interested in dance parties than in a live show of a band. How do you see this? I think it depends on the performance of the live band. Neuroticfish combines both. Dance elements and an energy loaded live performance. Maybe the people are bored of seeing just another Minidisc-Band. | |||
| You told us a special story about the song ‘Velocity’ and the Xtreactor festival in the Netherlands, can you specify some more?
I first played at the Xtreactor-Festival 2000 in Arnhem and it was the first gig I ever did. I had a demo version of a song with me that I was not sure about playing. I was curious about how the people would react to it. I played this song, called "Velocity" and the people went crazy... After the show I decided to release it. So it was born at the Xtreactor-Festival. | |||
