Fleshcrawl is a well known band in the Death Metal genre. A well respected band also. These Germans have recently delivered their sixth CD, and they`re still going strong. I e-mailed with Bastian Herzog to find out where Fleshcrawl gets the motivation and whether there are any future plans...
		After six CD`s, where does Fleshcrawl get the motivation from to make another album? Well, "Made of Flesh" is album number seven, not number six. But, I think we developed some kind of good feeling for cool song structures and arrangements over the past years. Our motivation comes from the fact that we really like this kind of music and sound. The will to improve our songs and records keeps us going and stuff
		Do you guys still have goals you want to achieve Yes, I think we have a couple of things we want to do with the band, amongst that to play in the States one day since we didn`t manage to, so far. Besides that there are some other countries where the band never played before, but really would like to, so we`re working on that also.
		`Made of flesh` is an old school metal cd. Just perfect for people who don`t want to hear music that is influenced by modern metal or hardcore, which is often the case nowadays. Yeah. Old school music definitely has a place in the nowadays music market. Not everything new is really good at the same time. Fleshcrawl is a band who celebrates old school death metal music in the early Swedish vein. And there are still a lot of people out there who are interested in that kind of music.
		What is your vision on this album and on the current music scene? "Made of Flesh" is a classical old school death metal album with high variety and diversity. The record should offer something for every deathmetal fan since the songmaterial is pretty catchy and brutal at the same time. Well, the music scene in general is the same as it ever was. The metal scene is doing much better again, also the extreme music. People seem to be interested in extreme stuff more and more again and that`s good!
		This is the third album on Metal Blade. Still statisfied with them? Totally satisfied ! They give us the promotion and support we were looking for. We get decent tours, interviews and all the promotional stuff which is necessary for a band like Fleshcrawl. I guess Metal Blade is something like the perfect home for Fleshcrawl !
		How many albums does a band like Fleshcrawl sell? That`s something I would have to check in the books as I do not know the figures by heart. But in general never enough, hahaha !
