| Centvrion |
| with Emanuele Beccacece on Nov 16, 2005 |

| |||
| Can you briefly introduce the band to our readers? Centvrion is the classic heavy metal band that you should follow just because we enjoy to play live, to eat and to rock at 360 degrees! Centvrion are: The Monti’s brothers Fabio and Luciano - Guitars Gianluca Mandolesi – Bass Me, Emanuele Beccacece – Drums Germano Quintabà - Voice | |||
| “Invulnerable” has recently been released, how have the reactions been so far? During the recording sessions we did three studio reports with three different Italian metal magazines. All of them have been captivated by the sound of Invulnerable.... After this we had positive reactions in Italy but we were very very happy to hear that even outside Italy “Invulnerable” has been well reported. | |||
| What are your expectations of the album? We expect that this album will be heard all over the world and that this will let us play outside Italy. Hopefully supporting a great international band. | |||
| What was the worst thing you’ve read about “Invulnerable” and what’s the best? The worst thing I’ve read is about the voice of Germano saying that he is not as good as the rest of the music. The best thing is about the rhythmic session, stating that we are impressive. | |||
| What can the fan expect to hear on “Invulnerable”? First of all they can expect the classic Centvrion sound! Secondly they can expect a good quality record. Finally they can expect to hear each instrument better than at times before... | |||
| What bands have influenced Centvrion’s style the most? For the founding member surely I can say Judas Priest! Moreover I can add some other bands that we all like that are: Black Label Society, Europe, Lordi, Rammstein, Accept, Gotthard.... And as for my regards, I like Meshuggah and Machine Head. | |||
Centvrion are back and still ready to kick your asses! Get ready to rock together! | It’s pretty clear that you dislike the more modern forms of metal. How do you feel about the development of the metal scene in general during recent years? I listen to different kinds of music you can expect and I’m very keen on many musical experiments that you can hear here and there.... I like Primus very much, I like very very much Methods Of Mayhem, I like Rammstein and many more....as you see even if we play heavy we appreciate many other bands, modern or not and we think that the general metal scene is very colourful; there are many new good bands mainly in the commercial field of metal and there are also many bands that are a copy of a copy of the copies.....I mean they are all the same shit... | ||
| Do you think the popularity of the metal scene at the moment is good for the scene in general, or would you rather see metal back in the underground? The real metal is still underground.....except for the history like Iron Maiden etc....... you can hear on radio and TV only the new pseudo-punk-rock-metal bands which play the modern style which to me breaks your balls after two minutes of listening... I think that the only real metal band which survives is Slipknot. | |||
| What album is currently playing in your CD-player? Meshuggah’s “Destroy Erase Improve”, Machine Head’s “Hell Alive”, Slipknot’s “Iowa”. | |||
| What was your best concert and what was your worst? Our best concert was at the God’s Of Metal 2001 even if I was not there (I joined the band on September 2001) and the worst was in Rome in a club that I prefer to keep secret. | |||
| Where would you like to see Centvrion five years from now? I would like to see me drunk in a beautiful swimming pool with some playmates “swimming with me” and I would also like to see Centvrion playing in Japan. | |||
| Thanks a lot for the interview! Is there anything left unsaid? Centvrion are back and still ready to kick your asses! Get ready to rock together! | |||
