Pure Inc was formed only two years ago, but in that time you managed to release two albums. Last year you’ve been very busy touring. Where did you find the time to write and record ‘A New Days Dawn’?
We had time writing new songs waiting to get signed by a label, so we were quite prepared. We wrote 4 songs after the tours and went in the studio in May last year.

It’s always hard to review promos where songs are shortened, but the new album isn’t as well balanced as its predecessor, which I really liked. Do you feel you’ve had enough time to write and record?
Yes we had enough time to write and record but listen to the entire album with the real beginnings and endings you’ll find out the album sounds completely different. Believe me. I guess this album has more of a line than the first one and it’s for me more interesting but I guess everyone has its own taste.

Mika Jussila was responsible for the mastering of the album. How did you get in contact with him?
Like the first record we phoned him and he did the job. AFM works most of the times with him so we found it a good idea to work with someone who’s experienced.

What is the biggest contribution Mika made to the sound of Pure Inc?
He made the Master so actually the master guy does open the sound, the brilliance and the little things which aren’t hearable in the mix are finding its way to the listener.

Which song caused most trouble writing or recording?
During the writing mode it was “Burst” as well as “Skinflint”, difficult songs to handle because of the vibes and the right attitude. While recording it was “Where’s Your God” and “Savior” cause that one was very fresh.

What would you like to have seen different on the album?
Sure there are things like I wanted to sing the whole album better but we had so many concert while we were recording and I wish we had spent more time mixing the album. It’s always the same, we want to do things to the best and this is important for the improvement of the band.

How are guys doing in your ‘home country’ Switzerland? I understand you gained quite some air play in the past.
We still have some airplays but it’s difficult since we play Hard Rock not Pop nor Hip-Hop.

Are you pleased with your national rock scene?
It’s ok, there are a lot of good bands as well as really cheesy bands as in every country I think.

You signed with one of the bigger labels in the business, AFM records. Are you pleased with the way this label promotes the band?
We are very happy with AFM they’re doing a good job for a no-name band it’s not that usual normally if you don’t sell a lot you’ll get dropped and I would be a liar saying we sold a lot.

Looking back at the MSG support tour, which gig brings back the best memories and which one would you rather forget?
Tilburg 013 was an amazing club that was the second show of the tour and I was simply speechless. There was a club I think it was called the Ohrakel or something like that very strange near the train station and no food just chips, restroom in the underground etc. No fun at all

How was the response on the road? Did you feel that you made a lot of new fans?
The response was simply fantastic, we met nice people; we are a very easy band to go along with never a trouble time.

One final - personal - question: what is the most embarrassing album you own and why did you buy it?
Hmm. It was a Running Wild album I bought it because of the cover artwork I was young and had no idea the music interest was not that wrong but the kind of style was and is for me horrible

Thanks for your time, good luck with Pure Inc.
Thanx you wish you all the best
