		In the south region of the Netherlands is Circle Of Silence a famous band, now the only thing you have to find out is how to take over the rest of the world. Can you introduce yourself and the band. My name is Brian and I play most of the leads on guitar. Then there is Sascha, also on guitars and founding member. Ralph is our bassplayer, Harry kicks ass on the drums and Wilbert does all of the vocals!
		Where does the name Circle Of Silence come from? COS began in the late 90’s as a side project of Sascha. He wrote a hell of a bunch of songs, but couldn’t really find the right people for the job. After a few years we met and decided to give it a try, but after two rehearsels and one evening of recording things became harder and harder to get together… Meanwhile, Ralph, Sascha and me were playing in a band called T.B.L., which became COS after the band split up…the only problem was…Sascha used to play the drums for T.B.L., but wanted to play the guitar in COS, so we needed a drummer and a vocalist! Those were found in the two fine gents as you know them. Circle of Silence was no more a circle of real silence, in fact…listen to it, hahaha!
		There’s a very nice girl on the front cover. Is she the love of your live? She is infact the love of Harry’s life! And besides that, she is our Photoqueen at live-shows and an incredible cool chick, so you could say that she truly is the love of our lives…one way or another
		Were there no labels willing to release this album? This cd was the first real band recording, which we did ourselves, with lots of help from Ricardo Carta. Because of the low price ( 3 Euro’s) we already sold quite a number of this disc, and hopefully wake up really interested people!
		How about song writing. How does a song come to an end? Who writes the lyrics? As said, the band started off as a one-man-project and so a hell of a lot of songs are written by sascha. Since we started as a complete band, some things have been added to songs. The Love of My Life is the first song in which I could create the end, which was very exiting. But we also play songs from the past, Patience for example is mine, but was combined with Payback (Sascha) in the T.B.L. era! The newer songs are more composed by the whole band. Sascha wrote all of the lyrics.
		What are the future plans for Circle Of Silence? We hope to do as many shows in Holland as possible. Until now our main focus remained to the south of Holland. In the near furure we hope to do more and even go outside of Holland. At the moment we are trying to set up a small Balkan Tour for maybe next summer!
		By which bands is Circle of Silence influenced? Our biggest musical influences are melodic metal bands like Iron Maiden and melanchonic bands like Anathema, Pink Floyd and Katatonia. New breed bands like Killswitch Engage, In Flames, Unearth and Soilwork are also a big influence for the band. Our musical interests reach way furter than these bands alone though. The main thing in a COS song is a catchy structure mostly used by 80’s pop bands. From Phill Collins and Stan Bush until Madonna and Bruce Spingsteen. Other influences are love, life and all that’s beautiful!
		In the southern of the Netherlands there are a many metal and hardcore bands. How come? It is not the first time anyone asks this question and I’m getting more interested in all of the theories about that. Some politician even called Heerlen ‘The New Seattle’… But to be short this time: I don’t know. Why are bananas Yellow and why do flies fly?
		What’s you favorite classic album and which album is in your compact disc player at this moment? My favourite classics: Number of the beast, Master of Puppets,Dark side of the moon and any CCR track. But I am currently listening to The End Of Heartache…What kinda monster is that album…m/
