| Could you introduce Falconer and try to describe the kind of music that you play? Falconer plays some kind of very melodic heavy metal with a folk touch. We’re in on our 5:th album by now. | |||
| How did the recording sessions go? Smoother than ever. Everyone knew what to do so there wasn’t too many “huh, how should I do here?” We getting very familiar with the studio ourselves that we can nor work alone in the studio which is fun and effective. We split up the recording session in 2 parts. In Feb. we recorded all instruments then came back with details keyboards and vocals in July. That time between was very good I think cause then we could melt the album a bit and return with fine adjustments. | |||
| What’s the best part of your new album? Personally I would say it’s the chorus of “Tower of the queen”, a grandiose, epic and mighty part of one of the best songs. | |||
| What’s the worst part of your new album? Hmmm, maybe it could be the slightly too long intro to “Legend and the lore”. | |||
| Who would you name as your influences? Jethro tull, Queen, Iron Maiden. | |||
| In your opinion, has the band developed through years, and if so, then how? I’ve learned more about song writing, arranging while all of us has grown better at our instruments. We’ve gotten Jimmy into the band who is an exceptional lead guitarist and now with Mathias back in the band we’ve got that original and emotional touch to the vocals again. | |||
| Are there any clear differences in comparison with the previous release? Ooooh yes. This one is way more epic and medieval, then of course the return of Mathias contribute to a big change in the sound. | |||
| What does the artwork show/should it express? It does represent the return of both the music and Mathias. It wasn’t of a big importance to have the character back but I felt it fit both the timing and the title track. You can see immediately what style the album will have if you’re a fan. | |||
| Which countries do you get the most reactions from in general? Germany. That was an easy question. | |||
| Did you ever visit the site www.rockezine.com. If yes, did you like it? Yes, I have. Don’t really remember what the impression was, my visit was in order to read reviews. Not only our own but also others. A big plus that you write in English so it gets international. | |||
"I’m not that dug in into the scene" | What do you think of the current state of metal in general? Honestly I don’t really have an opinion since I’m not that dug in into the scene. I’m just a by-stander who make occasional visits. | ||
| Is there something I can wake you up for at night? If you have a great ideas for a song I’m all yours. | |||
| Anything left to say? Thanks for the interview, hopefully we can meet the readers some time in the future on a festival. Thanks for all the support. | |||
