| A few weeks ago Bridge9 released your new album. How are the reactions? So far I think the reactions have been going great. All the reviews have been very positive for the most part. We couldn’t be happier especially for it being our first LP. | |||
| How did you hook up with Bridge9? I met Karl at some show and I’m not entirely sure where that was. But we stayed in contact for the most part for awhile. Karl is the label manager at Bridge 9 Records. He had asked me at that time what we had planned for the future, which at that giving second was still to release our first LP with 1917 records. After some issues between us and the label we decided to part ways from 1917. Within a week we were talking with Bridge 9 about releasing Prepare To Be Let Down. | |||
| Can you give me a tip for bands who also would like to be signed by this legendary hardcore label? Work hard and luck. | |||
| Can you describe Ruiner in five words? Dudes who are very broke. | |||
| Why did you choose the name of the band to be Ruiner? The majority of the band likes Nine Inch Nails, it’s the title of a song. I have a tendency to fuck things up very badly. So yea that’s why. | |||
| What means “hardcore” for you? To me I guess it means a lifestyle like any other lifestyle. You embody the surroundings around you. I go to shows, I play shows, I book shows. This is what I do. I at current moment can’t imagine myself doing anything else. But one day I know I won’t be doing this. I try not to take this all too seriously. | |||
| Is the music more important then the lyrics? In the case of hardcore I would say yes. I feel like you come to the punk and hardcore scene looking for a message. You can’t honestly say you came here looking for the next Beatles. I love this music but I’m here because I want to relate to something. I need to hear someone who is willing to tear themselves a part. | |||
| s there a certain message you`d like to pass on with your music? If so, what is it and why? Not really. I write because it’s how I deal with things. If someone can take something from the words I write that’s stupendous. | |||
| What can we expect from Ruiner in the coming months? Touring… lots and lots of touring. | |||
| Last but not least. Is there something you want to say to your fans? Bring me food… | |||
