After looking at the corny and terribly stereotype artwork of the album my expectations weren’t too high but boy was I wrong! This is bloody excellent; wave after wave of powerful guitar riffs roll over you, accompanied by raw vocals that smash into you like the proverbial sledgehammer. This is supreme classic heavy metal without any compromise.

Rebellion is built around the famous Uwe Lulis and his former Grave Digger brother-in-arms Tomi Göttlich. One can immediately hear the experience behind this powerful band. Other members are ex-Warhead guitarist Björn Eilen, singer Michael Seifert from Black Destiny and last but certainly not least drummer Randy Black, known from Annihilator among others.

Born A Rebel is an excellent old school heavy metal album that sounds straight from the heart and rolls over you like a steam train. It pounds, it smashes and it rocks in a very sincere way that many bands can only dream of. What can I say more about this album? Nothing much that would do it justice, apart from the fact that if you consider yourself a true heavy metal fan you can’t miss out on this one. Listen to metal classics like “Word Is War” or “Queen Of Spades” and let the music do the talking! All I can say is: Bloody Excellent!
