Two months after the preview EP, it’s time for the long awaited new Wumpscut album. Only half a year after the wonderful Wreath Of Barbs, Rudy decided to divide this double-CD set and fill it with hard to find material, as well as a few remixes, demos etc. Category 1 (new tracks & remixes) is built around 6 songs and features Wumpscut`s first cover "All Cried Out", as well as a new song "Overkill". Also featured are remixes of Das Ich, Der Blutharsch and Cleen. The last song is "Marta Arnau Marti". Last part of disc 1, "Music For A German Tribe" is the compilation that until previously could be found on the limited "Bunkertor 7"-box. This means there are 6 previously released songs (including the club hit "Krieg" (War) and "Soylent Grün" (Soylent Green), now sung completely in German, which will no doubt be interesting for the listener.

The second disc is more interesting, because of the "collector"-feeling. The first part is the Preferential Tribe demo recording. It shows Wumpscut in a typical demo mood. Violent, raw and mostly based on samples instead of Rudy`s shouting. Interesting, but maybe a bit unnecessary, knowing the compilation "Blutkind" also contained loads of demos, so you should already be familiar with the old style Wumpscut. My personal favorite section is "Artefact Pearls", 7 songs that show Wumpscut in that same demo mood, but you can also hear the progression made by the band. Songs like "God", "C.B.T" and follow-up "Against Decay" demonstrate the high quality of this band. Be aware that this is the only sign of life from the band until 2004, when there will be a new album. Until then, this release should make the wait a lot easier.
