Let’s keep it plain and simple. The new Autograph album “Buzz”, is heaven for everyone with a heart for nineties rock music and AOR. There are a lot of bands out there trying to relive the past, usually without any success due to the fact that their music sounds too much outdated, too much like all the stuff we’ve heard before. Autograph does neither. The music on “Buzz” sounds fresh and original. Even their attempt to write a catchy pop tune, “She’s The Reason”, is of a very high level.

Autograph had their moments of fame in the mid-eighties, touring with Van Halen, releasing “Sign In Please”, a top 30 album in 1984. It seems that the time has come to relive these successes. They could do so with “Buzz”, a great album with divisive tracks, all of a very high level. Listening to this album, Autograph gained one more fan, and I’m sure I won’t be the only one!
