Dislocated Styles is one of the newest additions to the Roadrunner roster, and yet they have already acquired certain fame with their "File In The Hole" single. Everybody who has heard it, knows what Dislocated Styles is all about. For everyone who didn`t: imagine Limp Bizkit with considerable less metal and considerable more hiphop, and that`s what you`ll find on Pin The Tail On The Honkey.
It takes 6 people to make up this band, and that creates a lot of diversity and some really good songs ("Liquefied", "Possessed By Demons", "Online Virus") but my main problem with these Dislocated people is that some of the songs are really childish and juvenile (it seems to me they`ve heard more than one Insane Clown Posse album). | |
If they would sound a bit more mature they would sort a better effect, but perhaps the early-teen fanbase might think otherwise.
With bands in this genre rising to a big status in no time (Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit, ICP) it`s easy to imagine this band become a big player, and singles being played on the dancefloor worldwide. I`m curious to see how this band will develop itself, but for now Pin The Tail On The Honkey is an interesting and dynamic ride that won`t disappoint you.
