This is my first acquaintance with this Spanish band. Their biography states that this is their fourth full length album. Since I don`t know their other albums, I can`t compare their previous work with this latest release, but I`ve been told they usually play powerful power metal. Usually perhaps, but this CD contains four acoustic tracks with a string-quartet for an extra dreamy atmosphere. And as a bonus, this CD contains many tracks from previous albums (they can only be found on the Japanese/Korean editions) and one unreleased track, Dies Irae. The acoustic songs are good, but a bit boring; after hearing the first song "A Lament Of Misery" (which is actually a great song), it’s hard to distinguish the other three. With "Mystery Of Goddess", the album turns into a dreamy kind of metal.

But then there is "Shadow Of The Nile", an absolutely great song! Exciting song structure, bombastic sound, this is really good work! Unfortunately, the band is not able to maintain this level of quality. Alas, with "Dies Irae" and "Fall Of Melnibone", this CD ends softer (and a bit too predictable) than I would like. So I would think of this album as a nice background CD. With "Shadow Of The Nile", however, the band has definitely aroused my interest in their previous work. When the next album of Dark Moor will be recorded is a bit doubtful, because three musicians (including vocalist Elisa) have left the band, due to some disagreements regarding their musical direction. A shame for these excellent musicians.
