Being one of the aspirators of the present industrial metal movement, Godflesh (R.I.P.) have re-released their highly anticipated album "Messiah". Originally recorded in 1994 and released on Avalanche recordings (vocalist Justin Broadrick’s label), this is the first time this incredible album will hit your local stores. "Messiah" features four so-called ‘lost’ tracks and four extra dub remixes of these tracks that are - for a change - a good addition. The four featured songs are "Messiah", "Wilderness Of Mirrors", "Sungod" and "Scapegoat".

From the first guitar riff until the last couple of dubs fade away this album takes you on an incredible mind trip. Just think of that short moment of complete happiness after you’ve just had an orgasm, but then a whole CD filled with the same trippy feeling.

The dark and epic songs are truly amazing and the remixes perfectly blend in with the ‘normal’ songs. I haven’t come across many bands that blend low-tuned guitars with robot-like drumming, spoken word and electronics so perfectly. Whilst listening to "Wilderness Of Mirrors Dub" I even seem to hear a little bit of Dj Shadow! People who know Shadow’s album "Entroducing…" know what I’m talking about. Taking in mind that this album is almost ten years old and still doesn’t sound outdated, shows this threesome’s progressive musical minds. So for all you Nine Inch Nails, Filter, Prong and trip hop (Dj Shadow, Massive Attack etc.) fans out there, I only have one simple advice: go-buy-this-album-and-fulfil-your-needs!
