‘It’s rockin’ time!’ Are the last words in the press release that accompanies this record and those words sure are true. Again Peter Pan Speedrock have produced a perfect soundtrack for a good binge with your buddies. That can be said of most of their records but “Lucky Bastards” is another step forward for the band. Singer/guitarist Peter van Elderen is actually almost singing instead of just screaming and sound wise there’s an improvement as well.

Producer Kurt Bloch (Zeke, Supersuckers, Nashville Pussy a.o.) gave the band a clearer and more natural sound. It gives the band more power, especially at high volume. And Peter Pan Speedrock needs to be played at a high, very high volume.
