“Please Accelerate” is Soon’s debut album; a striking accumulation of Sunny Day Real Estate downers, At The Drive Inn uppers, Motorpsycho (the Blizzard days) soundscapes and even a hint of that lovely Deus drama.

Big names, I know. Soon are not (yet) in this league. However, the various tonal mood swings and prickly guitar sounds portrayed on “Please Accelerate” show a huge potential. Highlights are “Minor Operatives”, “Second In A Row” and “Lacuna Drive”. Check this band out, no regrets. I Promise.
