You can hear this German band has picked up lots of experience during the years. The songs on "Krieg Gegen Die Maschinen" (War Against The Machines) show professionality, very skilled songwriting and and loads of catchy melodies. The whole is presented in a bit of an odd package; although there are 13 songs on this album, there are some interludes (3 in total), an intro, and no less than two covers; "Shadows Merging" (original by Run Level Zero) and "Dyskonnect" (by God Module). Then, there is a remix by Grendel (of the song "Fly To Target" - which also appeared on the "True Life" MCD, earlier this year) and guest appearances by Tactical Sekt and VNV Nation. | |
That is a bit messy for an album; so many guest stars, covers and remixes. The result however, is not as chaotic as it may seem; in fact, the way this album is built up by varying LOE`s songs by the guest stars proves the strength of this band. "Krieg Gegen Die Maschinen" has become an album that bursts with sphere, power, and yet gentle aggression and dancable songs. Wonderful material. Recommendable for fans of every band mentioned.
