Hungary may not be known for its doom scene, but Wall Of Sleep proves that there’s quality doom to be found on the Balkan. The three self-written tracks sound very promising. The sound is dry, clear and honest. Just the way I like it. This record sounds like a couple of guys rocking. Of course there’s room for improvement, especially the vocals are a little weak; reserved and sometimes a little off-key. | |
Open up your throat man! Don’t force it, just sing! The fourth song on the record is Black Sabbath’s "The Wizard". Wall Of Sleep is a good band but they shouldn’t have put this song on their debut album. Black Sabbath is untouchable… But apart from that, I’m looking forward to this band’s future recordings and live shows. If the singer loses his hesitation or diffidence, they could go far. (Walter) |
