One of internet hottest bands has recently released their sophomore album. Almost reads like a news flash; punk rock quartet Lucky 7 are throwing hard eights with their self titled album. Feeling lucky punk? A new Californian band queuing up in a very long line of melodic punk rock bands that, a long time ago started with Bad Religion, and is now upheld by bands like Lit, The Reunion Show, Good Charlotte, Blink 182, to name a few.

Lucky 7 have everything it takes to play in the major league of punk rock. Great melodies, catchy guitar tones, very fine harmonies and just enough variation to keep it all spicy.

Yes, this album does not bore you after, let’s say track 6. Hit potential with “Come Monday” and “Falling Asleep”, up tempo craze with “My Father’s Son” and typical West coast punk rock with “California Girl”. Lucky 7 mastered the punk rock trick and can only hope they have enough attitude to break through the cordon of obvious and predictable bands out there in the genre.

For anyone with a craving for summer-riddled sounds, in your car or at home with the window wide open, this one is a sure bet. Feeling lucky punk? Hell yeah.
