Automotive Rampage is the second release of the German Street-Rockers V8 Wankers. You might have seen these guys supporting Rose Tattoo and Motörhead or at Wacken Open Air 2003. The new album is definitely more rock orientated than its predecessor Blown Action Rock, which had a more punk approach. The band opens with a screaming crowd, an excerpt of ‘Stars And Stripes’, combined with roaring engines. “The Baddest Ride In Town” is the first full track and is a fine example of the Punk ‘n Roll on this release. | |
Great live stuff! The track “Wankers Without A Cause” will probably grow out to be the bands anthem for the first couple of years. Puck drumming, rocking guitars and the lyric: “if you don’t like us, we don’t care – we’re wankers anyway” brings out the best of the band. The album can be best described as one big bad ride; the cover of the album actually says it all. The album is also available on digi-pack (2 bonus tracks included) and a Picture LP. (Geert) |
