Emerald Rain is a Canadian melodic rock band that has been around since the mid-nineties. You might know them as the support act of Bob Catley and Millenium. Short Sighted is their fourth studio album and is full of not too complex rock music. One thing that characterizes their music is the full sound and the Hendrix/seventies guitar riffs. Most of the tracks on the album are easy to get into. This is the result of the catchy choruses with multiple vocals. | |
A point of criticism is the fact that Short Sighted lacks surprises. Only “Beneath The Blue”, which has clear hit potential and “This Must Be Love”, an acoustic orientated song, manage to escape the regular patterns. This release is especially interesting for people that like the music of Toto and Bon Jovi, but find these bands just a little too lame. (Geert) |
