Slow. Slower. Slowest. That’s the idea behind Sally in a nutshell. Do I have the attention of you stoner-fans? Good! Let me introduce to you: Sally. A band hailing from Birmingham (hey isn’t that the same city… Got that right!) that plays, well, stoner-doom rock, which you can compare to Cathedral, Black Sabbath (with a different singer) and Sleep (remember the CD ‘Jeruzalem’?).
Diffuse pictures, sweat, dark rooms. That’s what you see and feel while listening to this CD.
Imagine a dark city in 1950. | |
Almost everyone is dead due to disease and robberies/fights. And there are a few people who hold on and try to fight back. It’s a tough and most of all slow fight, and it’s gonna take days, weeks and maybe months. The same punches over and over again, the same screaming sounds when someone dies, and the same smell when someone just deceased.
Well, what can I say more. If you own albums of Cathedral, Black Sabbath, Candlemass and Spiritual Beggars, you won’t waste your money with this CD.
