Entombed’s 8th album in 15 years… I’m getting old! Ha ha. The band, again, delivers an album filled with quality ‘death and roll’ or should I say ‘doom and roll’? Entombed seem to be slowing down. The mid tempo and slow parts give this album a doomy feel similar to the last two Cathedral records. A welcome twist to the Entombed style I think. But I must admit that, for me, the Entombed formula begins to wear out a little. | |
There’s nothing really surprising on this album. The sound is good, the songs rock with a groove most bands can only dream of and that’s actually all I can say. Songs like “Children Of The World” and “Retaliation” stand out because they’re slow and heavy but mostly it’s just another Entombed album. Good but predictable. (Walter) |
