A debut album is often nothing more than a collection of re-recorded demo`s, topped with some new songs and a cover song. This Italian band with band leaders Dave on vocals and Victor on guitars (who did all of the writing), call themselves the new wave of gothic rock and did exactly that. Five of the ten tracks on this release have been released before (on the "Sacrifice" EP) and there are two songs you could already listen to at www.mysixthshadow.com. So actually this release only gives you three new songs. Knowing there is a cover songs among these three, "10 Steps 2 Your Heart", it isn`t the promise they keep after reading the credits.

The music on this album is gothic rock as we`ve heard HIM play before, including some influences from British rock bands like King Adora or even Placebo. Constructed with double guitars and a certain Dani on keyboards, there`s a very good atmosphere created on "Intoxicate My Heart" or "Death is my Rebirth". It`s just such a shame there has to be an acoustic version of "Life is Nothing For Me" and a non-succeeded version of The Cult`s "Rain". So these five Italians prove they`ve got some talent, but it’s now time to write their OWN album.
