The death of a friend had a very big impact on Michael Schock, the mastermind behind the German band Schock. Consequences of this experience have taken him to lyrics and music, that he developed and performed with four other musicians in this band. After Erwacht (2001) time had come for the band’s second release, called Glamour. This album is based on the type of gothic rock we`ve seen HIM play before. | |
Schock however manage to hand us their own personal view with songs like "Mein Herz" (very guitar-ish), "Weiss Wie Schnee" (a sensitive ballad), and the very catchy "Tanz". As you can see, you`re priviliged if you know your way in the German language, although I`m sure this album has a lot to offer to those who don`t speak German as well. A very fine release. (Eelco) |
