Yo here we go: another SoCal punk rock outfit bringing us friendly up-tempo sing-along punk rock with a twist. The twist in this case is singer Scott Sellers’ somewhat boring voice; amazing, since so many SoCal bands are known for their crisp clear vocals. Rufio’s sound is colored with some classic metal harmonies - thank you Iron Maiden - added to their overall decent and recognizable sound, resulting in good yet predictable summer sunshine songs. Nothing wrong with that.

Rufio excels in delivering us addictive, let us call it catchy, songs packed with effective melodies like “Follow Me”, a quality performance “We Exist” but absolutely no surprises on the entire album. Perfectly molded into twelve happy go lucky punk rock campsite songs. Some furiously fast, others up-tempo but always top notch. But mind you: listen to the album before buying, the lead vocals need some getting used to…
