This is the second album of this four-man band from Sweden. For the people who do not know these guys yet: it’s not the thing you expect to hear, regarding the band name and the record cover. The music is far from hardcore, and the tattoos and angry looks also are not expressed on the album itself.
Hardcore Superstar can be appreciated by a broad audience. Like their former album, this one can produce some singles with airplay from the bigger stations. People who are only into the real rough stuff will call this pop music, but if you like early seventies English rock with some teeny bobber and wave influences, and vocals in between a mild Slade and AC/DC, you will not be disappointed. | |
This not being an album with balls can be a production thing (sure hope so); I can imagine this band with a lot more sharp edges performing live. Personally I would have appreciated a bit more fire on this record, but when they’re in my neighbourhood I would like to see how they are doing live.
