Well well…what do we have here. Razorwire. From Stoke On Trent, England. A band that received some great reviews from the (always chauvinistic) English press. A band that released numerous demos. A band that entered metal charts. A nu-metalband that brings nothing new.

I’m getting so sick and tired of those million nu-metal bands out there, who are just repeating eachother. A bit of rap here, a few catchy lines here, and incidentally a grunt. Razorwire has it all. Again however, I have to say, they are good at what they do. Although they add nothing new to the nu-metal scene. For now.

The positive side is that I do believe Razorwire has potential.

They sound like a young version of Stuck Mojo. Add some stoner riffs and you have Razorwire. Vocalist/rapper Chris sometimes sounds a bit unsure with his rapping style. Guitarist Dan Carden is a good guitar player who knows he is good, showcasing cool solo’s and some technical riffs. The same with Andy (bass) and Charlie (drums). Good musicians.

The band probably has a bright future ahead, but in my opinion, they have to improve the vocals and add some more technical parts to their music (they have the musicians for it). So far it`s just mediocre.
