Leaving The Terrene Garden is the second demo of In Aetherium. This symphonic black metal band was founded in 1997. Back then their name was still IO. Due to many line up changes and the arrival of two vocalists, they changed there name into In Aetherium. This demo contains the following 3 songs: “To The God Of The Sun”, “A Spirit Within” and “Consequence, Desire and Sin”.

The production is quite well, although the guitar sound sounds a bit hollow. Due to this I constantly have a feeling something is missing.

This is compensated by the keyboard lines, that sound interesting every now and then. Also, the two vocalists really contribute to the music, it really sounds good when screams and clean vocals are used together. Especially in “Consequence, Desire and Sin”.

The gentlemen of In Aetherium have delivered a fine demo and succeeded in creating a melancholic ambience. But there is nothing new or something that really hits you.
