Intruder is the third album from this bunch of veterans under the project flag of Silver. After Silver, and Dream Machines, which were pretty well received, this is another powerful, yet melodic album. Silver consists of Gary Barden (V), Bernie Thorme, Michael Voss and Tommy Denander (G), Bob Daisley and Colin Hodgkinson (B), Don Airey (K) and Bertram Engel, and Marco Minneman (D). All of them have already earned their credits.

It’s not original, even very familiar sounding, but superbly performed. Not very surprising given the musical luggage of the individual musicians.

A wide range of melodic rock songs from straight ahead (“Kismet”), to bombastic (the ballad “How Does It Feel”), or good old Billy Idol rock & roll (“Come On”) to Cozy Powells restyled “Dance With The Devil”. These very skilled musicians do their tricks very well and Gary Barden is even better than ever. Given all this praise it’s a pity that the sound is maybe a bit too slick, and the added beat box, and mechanical sounding drums are degrading the whole.
