If you take someone home after a 30+ singles night, and you dim the lights and open a bottle of wine, and you put this album on: it is success guaranteed! The name AOR used to stand for adult orientated rock. In this case adult orientated pop would be more appropriate. Lots of laid back, and funky stuff, and when some sharp edged guitar sounds try to get through, trumpets or violins overwhelm them. | |
Top musicians (a.o. Toto, FM, Chicago) have produced some high quality candle light rock, which is also suitable as background music in shopping malls. (Cor) |
