Cornflames are an emo band from Belgium. The production of the record is pretty good and the band knows what they are doing. It’s a pity they don’t have a very original sound though. The first song sounds so much like At The Drive-In that it could be a cover, actually the second song as well. ‘Soften The Blow’ is the first song that proves the members of Cornflakes have more influences.

The poppy melody combined with chugging guitars make the band sound somewhere between Quicksand and Foo Fighters. Not the worst to be compared with, but it still isn’t very original. If these guys find their own sound they can get somewhere. Now they’re for emo freaks only.
