Rock and roll born and bred in Belgium but rooted deep in US soil. Country flavored rock and roll with a hint of rockabilly. Just enough rock in their roll for a review on Rockezine. Put these guys on a small stage in some crowded whiskey joint and they’ll smoke it up. No doubt.

So, it’s almost logical to release a live album. Unfortunately that same magic the band employs on stage, just doesn’t translate onto this album. Yes, it rocks and it shoves and it puffs, but there’s no connection. Most of The Seatsniffers songs work fantastic live, on an album they lack sizzle. Even for a live album. I’ve seen the band live twice so I know from first hand that they really know how to turn venues upside down.

And I have no clue as to why it doesn’t work on Flavor Savor.

It’s not all bad though, don’t get me wrong. The Seatsniffers is a great band. And many other wished they could pull of a show like The Seatsniffers do. Just listen to their version of the Del Reeves classic “This Must Be The Bottom”, it’s simply brilliant. So, for those who have never seen this band live, check this album out. If you have seen the band, you know better. You can order the album at http://www.sonic.nl.
