This Belgian band brings a piece of brutal death metal which has it’s roots more in old school death metal. It is best defined, I think, as a combination of Six Feet Under and Houwitser. This being their second album, I think they did a pretty good job. Soundwise it’s all clearly audible, although the drums could have sounded less ‘sticky’, if you know what I mean…
The only problem with brutal death metal bands like this, is that we have heard it all before, and better. So yes, it’s nice and it’s fairly brutal, but it’s not all that special. | |
Then again, I do think that these guys are really playing the music they want to, so from that point of view you can’t really blame them for not being all that original.
Still, I have to be objective, and from my point of view, I’ve heard this all time and times before and, unfortunately for these guys (and girl), I also heard it better many times before. So, I’m sorry, but this is the best I can make of it.
