With this album, Tomorrow’s Eve has really released something special. A concept album that lasts for over 70 minutes, and tells us a story about the experiments of professor Brandon, who wants to create some sort of super human race. The lyrics don’t tell us that much about the experiments itself, but more about the thoughts of one of these super-boys that grows up in this artificial world, created to lock out all bad influences. This one boy starts asking questions, and takes a look in the mirror of this creation…
This concept is a very good start, for it is a very recent and hot item. What if we could do this, what if we could really establish something like this? Too bad I didn’t receive any lyrics, which is a shame, for concept albums always establish some extra value with their lyrics. | |
Record labels: next time with lyrics please, pretty please!
The musical part of this album is very good, progmetal at its best! Very good musicians, showcasing nice solos and leads. In spite of all this musical “showing of”, they are still able to write good songs, and even put a very good structure into this concept album.
The only minor I found on this album is the comparison with Dream Theater’s Scenes From A Memory album, because the balance between heavy, complex progmetal and more calm pieces with samples that tell the story in the form of a conceptalbum is very similar. But the quality of the material is that good and the concept is that interesting, that I give them the benefit of the doubt!!
