Fully stripped of melodies and variety, Tenebrosus, a young black metal band from Poland, brings us their first full-length album, The Fall Of Worthless Morals. To begin with the positive, this album contains some real pure aggression and hate! But the not-so-good-point is, this album is only about aggression and hate, there is no subtlety here. Normally that would be a good thing, considering this is black metal. But Tenebrosus doesn’t do anything with this hate. Instead of writing good songs with some slower parts between all the blastbeats, in order to create some real aggressive songs, they purely focus on the hate they probably have inside.

There are no slower parts here, it’s just blastbeat-ferociousness all the way. Guitar riffs can hardly be distinguished from each other because of the blurry sound, and the intro lasts far too long…

So, all in all, I can’t be all that positive about this release. It’s pure hateful high speed black metal, but in stead of concentrating on good songs and a fat sound, they merely focus on pure pointless hate. Too bad, ‘cause some parts sound really cool. If their next record is more “mature” (for whatever that means), I’d be happy to review that one too, and be proven wrong.
