MOSH IT UP!

What’s the matter with the hardcore scene this summer/fall? I hear one perfect album after another. Maypole, Give Up The Ghost, Nora, Face The Enemy, Madball EP etc. You definitely can add Knuckledust to this list.

Universal Struggle is their second full length album, after releasing one full length and two Ep’s. The last cd Time Won’t Heal This was a good album, but this one is like a drill in your kidneys: mean, painful and tough.

You can describe their style as Madball fucking Hatebreed with Biohazard watching on the side. It’s pretty fucking cool old school hardcore, although some metal kids will definitely like this, cause some breakdowns remind me of bands like Pantera. That’s pretty interesting, cause almost every new British metal/hardcore band seems to draw influences from Pantera (Earthtone 9, Labrat, Snub, Freebase etc.

). Tracks like “Sick Life”, “Trust No One” and “Won’t Burn Me” are exactly the reasons why I love hardcore. Demolishing yet beautiful! Check out the beginning of “Scarred” and you definitely get a shot of agression inside you. Don’t start a fight with someone while listening to this cd. You might break some bones (even with a screwdriver if you have to).

I have the feeling that this band will do incredible things live. They’re touring with the Eastpack Resistance Tour this fall, so I recommend everyone who enjoyed shows from Terror, Barcode, Maypole etc. to go see this show.
