The promo I’m holding in my hands right now features five tracks from the upcomming Tierra Santa 2 CD live album called Las Mil Y Una Noches. This Spanish heavy/power metal band is rather successful in Spain and their music is slowely finding its way to the continent. The recording of this live show is done with a lot of care. The sound is very clear, at some moments you can even hear the crowd roar itself and the ballance between the rougher and softer parts is nearly perfect.

One thing that strikes me are the strong vocals. No high pitched screaming, but well controlled and very melodic vocal parts. They are so melodic that the fact that they are all sung in Spanish doesn’t bother at all. In short, a great live recording from Locomotive Records. Too bad that the promo cd only features five tracks.
