ALL`s newest release is certainly worth it`s while. First off you get ALL “Live Plus One” recorded in March 2001 at the Starlight in Ft. Collins, Colorado. This CD contains 22 sweat-drenched pop-punk tunes as ALL describes their repertoire. From the first to the last song ALL shows they are still an energetic live band with an arsenal of melodic west coast styled punkrock.
This live recording varies from up-tempo to slower punk songs, each and everyone of them slightly different from the other and not a boring moment amongst them. A few good examples are The World`s On Heroin, She Broke My Dick and the brilliant Honey Peeps.
Since ALL minus Chad plus Milo = Descendents a second CD comes free with this release. | |
It contains a recording of the Descendents playing at the Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles somewhere in October 1996. This 21 song recording of the Descendents has a slightly more aggressive sound than the ALL recording has. Which isn`t much of a surprise since the bands are basically the same except for the vocalists. Furthermore both bands share
a melodic song structure.
Considering you`re offered two CD`s for the price of one this certainly is a good release. The high quality of the songs and the diversity between
them make both ALL and the Descendents worth spending your money on!
