It’s a small wonder I’m able to do this review because the CD-R I received was so badly burned and damaged that I had to copy it to my computer and try to repair it all. When finally all the read errors were cleared I first thought that something had gone wrong but then I realised that the production of “Hymn To Eternity” is so god awful bad that Darkthrone is a marvel of clearness and good sound compared to this.

The music Twilight Of Christ produce is nearly as bad as the production. Simplistic primitive black metal with a few folk elements. The lyrics are hilarious because of the poor English; for example: “You are like pig hat trample on the diamonds, You are the tool the toy extination, Victim of mechanisms that you don’t understand”.

These are no spelling or typing mistakes (at least not mine) but actual lyrics. There are moments though, that they actually are able to create a certain atmosphere, but even then they spoil it by introducing a terrible clean voice.

Surely there will be a few black metal fanatics who will say this is the next sensation in black metal and that I don’t understand the deeper ‘meaning’ of the sacred rituals these Polish masters of black metal perform or some shit like that. Fuck off!!! This is a fucking joke and a waste of time and effort.
