Live in Corona, these are the Subhumans, proud to be a part of the Fat Wreck ‘Live In A Dive” series. UK punk veterans spilling their discontent and spitting their frustrations in 26 very effective and well produced tracks. Their melodic punk (and not punkrock!) does the job admirably. Anthems like “Joe Public”, “All Gone Dead”, “This Years War” and “Animal” can get any crowd wild.

The band’s intelligent ‘Sex Pistols with depth’ type punk is truly original. Listen closely to “This Years War” (or read the lyrics in the libretto) or “Wake Up Screaming” (covered by Queens Of The Stone Age). It immediately tells you punk music will never die, cause the inspiration will always be there. Not the pimple mall punkrock crap for children who have to ask mom for baggy pants and accept anything offered by MTV without asking questions.

Subhumans are about opening your eyes or in the words of Rise Against: If you are not angry, you are not paying attention.

The sound of this recorded show is fantastic, allthough a little more emphasis on the crowd would have been nice, it still feels, sounds and almost smells like a true punk show with slamming bodies, passionate scream-alongs, army boots in your face and foamless beer in your neck. In short: You can get angry and still have a good time. This album makes sure of that. Fans of anarcho punk know what to do. Steal the album, tie it to a brick and throw it through a corporate window...
