What a split album this is! Two great doom bands each deliver two songs. First up is Negative Reaction with two well produced tracks in that well known fanatic sound. Especially the vocals are aggressive. The riffs are as powerful as ever and the dirty but clear sound rounds it all up. Terrific! Second band is Ramesses. Two thirds of the band used to play in Electric Wizard, not a bad name to drop, is it? Ramesses are a more traditional doom band but they never sound obligatory.

It’s all down to the riffs and they’re as groovy as they are doom. The sound’s a bit thin but never too light. The vocals vary from clean to grunt, very nice indeed. This split is a treat for all you doomsters out there.
