‘True Primitive Narrow Minded Black Metal’ it says on the cover. Well, I could end this review right here, because this statement says it all. But I won’t. Nattefrost, of course, is Carpathian Forrest’s front man. He wrote this album on his own and, although he releases it under his own name, recorded it with the help of a couple of his fellow Carpathian Forrestians. Nordavind, with whom Nattefrost originally formed CF, also joins in. The result is as old school black metal as it can get: just a couple of chords in every song and a dirty, evil sound.

It’s not all too serious though. “The Art Of Purification” for instance starts with Nattefrost puking his guts out and “Nattefrost Takes A Piss” is an actual recording of him taking a leak. And then there’s “Still Reaching For Hell”… well I guess you’ll just have to hear it for yourselves! Ha ha! But hey, who said black metal heads can’t have a little fun on their records!? Absolutely a great album.
