In their 14 years of existence Hate have evolved to one of the best extreme metal bands around in my humble opinion. Somehow the blast beats, down tuned guitar riffs and low grunting vocals sound fresh. Influenced by bands like Deicide and Behemoth they do create their own thing within the (limited) boundaries of the genre. In the end it all comes down on the riffs.

And that’s one of the bands strongest points. Everybody’s tight and fast nowadays so the quality of the music itself becomes more and more important. Hate know how to write good music. The songs aren’t too long, there’s variation, cool tempo changes and a couple of surprising twists and turns. And meanwhile ‘Awakening Of The Liar’ rocks from start to finish.
