How easy can it be? Take the complete early work of Black Sabbath, throw it in a blender, and with some creativity you can build completely new songs. Many starting hobby bands have tried (and still try) to make use of this concept, but only a few have ended up with the quality of this Mustasch album as a result. Having musicians with technical capabilities far beyond the basic song structures makes it taste even better. | |
Finally, having a singer gifted with a throat reminding of Ian Astbury (Cult) can bring this band to the highest level. Minor detail: a strange ‘accent’ at times.
Especially listeners with roots in the seventies can identify easily with this music, as it sounds very similar to their background. This album will also appeal to the more recent stoner listeners because of the similarity with bands as Spiritual Beggars. (Cor) |
