These guys from Tacoma started their rock & roll profession because it doesn’t require any real talent, according to the bio. Sometimes it is common indeed to mask technical shortcomings with lots of noise. Listening to the album a certain lack of superb technical instrumental skills and great songwriting cannot be denied.
Despite the dark atmosphere of the basic rock structuren, the music is described by the band as party music. | |
Some nice ideas like the slide guitar in “Mama’s Boys” and a depressing mood in combination with harmonic vocals in “Let’s Destroy” can be discovered. The hypnotic drive of some songs, and the repetition of themes can sometimes create a tension, but exploiting this can also lead to boredom. Some growth in creativity and diversion on the next album could create a longer and more intensive attention.
