The third album of the Norwegian act Solefald is their first release on Century Media. Pills against the Ageless Ills is not album for the masses, but this does certainly not imply that these ‘Radical Designer Rock’n’Roll-ers’ have not created an intriguing record! The electronics beats and rapvocals of their previous album Neonism have made room again for sharp (black) metal edges and grunts alternated with clean and spoken vocals. The conceptalbum of Lazare (vocals/synths/drums) and Cornelius (vocals, guitars & bass) concentrates around the characters of the Pornographer Cain and Philosopher Fuck.

The lyrics are set up as dialogue between these two brothers in which they discuss their miserable lives. This all sounds kinda vague but to call Solafald’s music vague would be unjust. The new album dares the listener to expand their own musical horizons and to embark on a journey through the twisted mind of these Norwegains. And on this experimental trip all is possible. From catchy straigthforward rock in ‘Hate Yourself’ to hatefull and intense blackmetal in ‘Anti-City Strategy’…and everything in between.
